Terms of Service

1. Operator

EquaRank is operated by Mikołaj Gaweł, a natural person based in Kraków, Poland (the "Operator"). Contact: equarank@gmail.com.

2. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of EquaRank (the "Service"), a platform for practicing mathematics. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to create an account; if you are under 18, you need the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

4. Subscriptions and billing

EquaRank offers a free plan and a paid Premium subscription. Premium is billed in advance on a recurring basis at the price shown on the pricing page until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details.

You can cancel at any time from your account settings or the billing portal. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period, and it will not renew afterwards.

Premium access begins immediately after a successful payment. Fees for a started billing period are non-refundable, except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise. If you believe you were charged in error, email equarank@gmail.com and we will review it.

Note for EU / EEA consumers. Distance-selling rules may give consumers a 14-day right of withdrawal. Because Premium is a digital service that starts right away, by purchasing Premium you request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose that withdrawal right once access is delivered. Canceling later stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• share your account or resell access to the Service;
• scrape, bulk-download, or redistribute problem content or solutions;
• attempt to bypass rate limits, paywalls, or security measures;
• manipulate leaderboards, points, or streaks through automation or exploits;
• post abusive, unlawful, or infringing content in community areas.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

6. Content and intellectual property

The Service, including problems, theory articles, and software, is owned by the Operator or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your own learning. You retain ownership of content you post (for example forum posts and solutions), and you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host and display it as part of the Service.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that problem content is free of mistakes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator's total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that may apply in your country of residence. Courts in Kraków, Poland, have jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you (for example by email or an in-app notice) before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
